There are a lot of misconceptions about learning disabilities; what they are, what they aren’t, how they develop and why. I had to confront my own misunderstanding of learning disabilities when our oldest son was diagnosed with Dyslexia. So this article I wrote for FW Moms is directed towards the mom I used to be, the one without a child with a learning disability.
