Love Letter

Day 30 of a 30-day series originally published for Facebook April 2021

We've reached the last day of April. If you've made it all month, I'd like to thank you for sticking with it and allowing me to share with you the past 29 days. I hoped we have traveled through Autism Awareness and moved to Autism Acceptance together. I've thought a lot about what to post today. I could go on and on, there is still so much to learn for all of us, but I will end with a letter instead.

My sweetest M,

You may be little, and you may be young, but your influence knows no limits. You are capable, loving, observant, and sensitive. You are wise and your mind is beautiful. Your brother made me a mother, but you made me a mama bear. I have become a person who is bold, vocal, and insistent, and Daddy and I would move heaven and earth to make sure you have the support you need to soar. My prayer is that everyone you come across takes the time to know you, to seek understanding, and to allow themselves to be influenced by the way you see the world. You are an immense blessing and it is my privilege to raise you.
